113,978 passionate holidaymakers came in search of high quality travel offers at the Brussels Holiday Fair.

The Brussels Holiday Fair has confirmed its reputation as an innovator in the Belgian travel world. The edition that has just ended was visited by a staggering 113,978 people, which is an increase of almost 2% compared to 2010.

Tourism revives 


The emphases of this 53rd edition lay on quality and inspiration, and these messages were clearly understood by exhibitors and visitors alike. 786 exhibitors were represented, including 63 official tourism services.

Several exhibitors can now say with certainty that Belgians are thinking about travel once again and that the Brussels Holiday Fair is an inspiring environment for this.

Brussels Travel Top well received by travel sector


This year, the emphasis lay on several B2B initiatives, grouped under the name ‘Brussels Travel Top’. During the Holiday Fair, you could take part in several workshops and cocktails, organised in cooperation with exhibitors and tourism professionals. The first responses to this initiative were positive and will contribute to the further development of Brussels Travel Top in 2012.

Mass media attention

An increasing number of exhibitors are organising their press meetings during their presence at the fair. The combination of these meetings and the Holiday Fair press conferences ensured plenty of media attention. There were a whopping more than 230 appearances in the press.

The Brussels Holiday Fair is even more so, becoming the most important moment of the year for the Belgian tourism industry. In the future also the B2B part will gain in importance.
